RIS is one of IDOS’ longest-standing and closest partners in India. Under Professor Chaturvedi’s leadership, IDOS and RIS have established cooperation in many areas. RIS has played a key role in establishing and developing the MGG Network. Over MGG’s 18-year history, many staff members from RIS have participated in the MGG Academy. RIS has also played a vital role in developing the “South-South and Triangular Cooperation” work strand with MGG network partners, as well as in setting up the “Network of Southern Think Tanks” (NeST). In addition, IDOS and RIS have collaborated for many years on the Think20 process – not least under the co-chairmanship of RIS during India’s 2023 G20 Presidency. Another key element of the partnership is the PRODIGEES project (2020-2025), which is funded by the EU’s Horizon programme and focuses on research and a transnational knowledge cooperation network in the area of “Digitalisation and Sustainable Development”. RIS is one of the five non-European consortium partners in this project.

IDOS looks back with great respect and gratitude on its cooperation with RIS under Professor Chaturvedi’s leadership. At the same time, IDOS warmly congratulates Professor Sachin Kumar Sharma on his appointment as the new Director General and looks forward to continuing and deepening the collaboration with RIS.
