In the last week of June, Dr Stephan Klingebiel and Dr Niels Keijzer were in South-Korea as part of the ongoing cooperation between IDOS and the Korean Development Institute (KDI). They jointly organised the third annual KDI-IDOS seminar in Sejong to discuss the role of middle powers in global development, as well as jointly organised a panel during the annual conference of the Korea Association of International Development and Cooperation (KAIDEC) in Busan. This event discussed current trends in international development policy with a focus on South-Korea, Japan, Germany and the European Union. During the week, they also visited the UN Seoul Policy Centre and made other contributions to the KAIDEC conference.
