Dr Karina Mross, IDOS researcher, engaged in in-depths exchanges with faculty at the University of York and presented her ongoing work on local elections and social cohesion in post-conflict contexts at a seminar. The International Security and Comparative Politics clusters jointly hosted it in October.
This activity is part of Karina Mross’s broader academic engagement. She was invited to spend six weeks as a visiting researcher at the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of York. The department is well known for its research on peace and conflict, and boasts a newly inaugurated York Centre for Conflict and Security. She was also invited to present her innovative research on measuring social cohesion through music listening preferences at a cross-departmental seminar at the neighbouring University of Leeds.
