„Policy of small steps“ – Deconstructing postcolonial structures

IDOS Director Anna-Katharina Hornidge participated in the Development Policy Forum of the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) on 18 July.

In addition to international debates, IDOS also contributed to the domestic public and political discourse on the implementation of postcolonial approaches in German development policy: Anna-Katharina Hornidge reflected together with Dr Boniface Mabanza Bambu, trainer for development policy and anti-racism, and Marc Engelhardt, KfW, on how to implement the approach to dismantle postcolonial structures, which is strived for in German development policy. Anna-Katharina Hornidge emphasised the need for a „policy of small steps“ to further develop the system and meet the demands from partner countries.
