German-Korean cooperation in times of polycrisis

Since 2022, Ewha Womans University and IDOS have cooperated in a joint project that explores synergies between Korean and German development cooperation. The project benefits from a networking grant provided by Korea’s National Research Foundation and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).

On 12 and 13 June, the third and last workshop of the Korean-German Research Network was held to continue the network members to present their ongoing research on development policy and climate finance. During the coming months, their contributions will contribute to a joint edited volume that will be published in 2024. On 14 June, the workshop was complemented by a conference that was co-organised and supported by the German embassy in Korea. The German embassador and Ewha Womans University’s vice-president for international relations opened the conference that further explored the challenging global context and its implications for development cooperation and climate finance.
