The conference marks the culmination of five years of collaborative research within the Managing Global Governance (MGG) network, bringing together scholars, policymakers, and industry experts to explore the intersections of digitalisation and the economy, the environment, governance and society.
As the Promoting Research on Digitalisation in Emerging Powers and Europe Towards Sustainable Development (PRODIGEES) project approaches its conclusion, preparations are underway for its Final Conference, set to take place from 9 to 13 March 2025, at Instituto Mora in Mexico City.
In the lead-up to this milestone event, IDOS researchers Benjamin Stewart, Matthias Kachelmann and Dr Wulf Reiners have embarked on a one-month secondment to Mexico, aligning their ongoing research with visits to network partners and conference preparations in close collaboration with Instituto Mora —a leading think tank, academic institute, core partner of MGG in Mexico, and PRODIGEES co-coordinator.
The MGG / PRODIGEES Final Conference will showcase insights from the project’s 74 research secondments conducted between 2020 and 2025, providing a platform for dialogue among experts from Mexico and the broader MGG Network. Participants will engage in discussions on how digitalisation can contribute to sustainable development, shaping future collaborations beyond the project’s official timeline.
