On 17 February 2025, Prof. Karl Stoffel, President of Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Claus-Michael Langenbahn, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, IDOS Director Prof. Anna-Katharina Hornidge and Margret Heyen, Head of Service Facilities at IDOS, signed a corresponding cooperation agreement in the presence of course director Prof. Christian Ganseuer. The dual study programme in Research and Innovation Management combines university phases at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, Remagen Campus, with work phases and case studies at the practice partners. The programme qualifies graduates for positions in project management or business administration.

The programme content includes introductions to Germany’s research and innovation system as well as economics and public law, statistics, budget, grant and tax law. Future developments, such as digital change and the modernisation of administrations, are also part of the curriculum.

Students spend the practical phases with the partners. For the first time in 2025, one person at IDOS will gain an insight into project coordination, funding management and general administrative processes, consolidate what they have learnt and gain experience in the practical application of the content. The students deal with the third party funding and learn about activities in the areas of finance, organisation, IT and human resources at IDOS. Both the practical work and the final Bachelor’s thesis deal with current problems at the partner institution.
