Dr Julian Bergmann has successfully completed his habilitation (professorial lecture qualification) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Media and Sports of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz on February 08, 2023 by obtaining the „venia legendi“ in Political Science. The main research programme of his habilitation thesis is entitled „The Foreign, Security and Development Policy of the European Union in Times of Crises – Theoretical and Empirical Contributions“. The topic of the public lecture and subsequent colloquium was „No chances for peace negotiations? Perspectives of Mediation Research on the Russia-Ukraine Conflict“.
