Future of Development Cooperation Coalition: IDOS contributes expertise

17 countries, philanthropies and experts explore ways to reform global development cooperation.

The Future of Development Cooperation Coalition has been launched as an independent, time-bound multi-stakeholder process seeking to co-create a new approach for global development cooperation. The Coalition is co-hosted by the African Center for Economic Transformation and the Center for Global Development, with its Secretariat being headed by Alexia Latortue, former US Assistant Secretary for International Trade and Development.

The Coalition at the moment brings together 17 countries, is supported by five major philanthropic organisations and experts from across politics, the private sector, civil society, and research, with the aim of delivering actionable recommendations for reform of the global development system. Its explicitly research-based work will be supported by a Circle of Academic Adivsors, to which IDOS, represented through Prof. Anna-Katharina Hornidge and Dr Stephan Klingebiel, will actively contribute. We are looking forward to this important process of joint thinking and co-creation!
