On 22 November, Prof. Anna-Katharina Hornidge gave an input on “Wealth, Exploitation, Future Research from West Africa Fisheries” as part of a workshop on environmental injustice during the Green Environmental Congress held by the NRW’s state parliament fraction of die Grünen.

The discussion focused on NRW’s partner country Ghana and the possibilities of a state such as NRW to contribute to social and environmental standards in partner countries. In her input, Prof. Hornidge highlighted the high system fragilities within West African fisheries, caused also by spill-over effects of European Fisheries, and their transregional implications.
She discussed with the present Members of State Parliament and further guests how partnerships on local, national, and transnational level can advance transformation.
