From 8 to 10 October, the energy supplier Verbund hosted the INSPIRE energy summit in Wolfangsee, Austria, bringing the private sector together with leading voices from politics and research to discuss positive visions for the renewable energy transition – which the organisers highlighted as already ongoing. Prof. Anna-Katharina Hornidge was invited to deliver an impulse on societal negotiation of transformation. She highlighted the importance and possibility of climate smart and justice development pathways, which require joint efforts from all societal sectors.
