IDOS at the European Think Tanks Group’s 4th Annual Dialogue in Paris

On 8 October, senior policymakers from over ten EU member states, the European Commission, and the United Nations, alongside experts from the European Think Tanks Group (ETTG) network gathered in Paris for the 4^th Annual Dialogue on the EU and Global Development.

Against the backdrop of a global polycrisis and significant shifts in the multilateral system, the event provided a forum for an informal, closed-door exchange. Discussions focused on three critical areas for the EU’s international cooperation (1) The state of multilateralism and the challenges to global governance; (2) The EU’s strategy for alliances in a fragmented geopolitical landscape; and (3) The effective use of the EU’s financial instruments, particularly the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).
