From 20 to 26 September 2025, the Managing Global Governance (MGG) programme implemented a series of meetings with research institutions, public administration bodies and non-governmental organisations in Indonesia. The purpose of Dr Wulf Reiners’ visit was to strengthen dialogue with cooperation partners and jointly identify priorities for future collaboration.

Highlights of the trip included a meeting with the leadership of Indonesia’s National Institute of Public Administration, Lembaga Administrasi Negara (LAN RI). In addition, a lecture on “Digitalisation and Sustainability” provided an opportunity to discuss key research findings from the PRODIGEES project with around 50 public service trainers. Further meetings were held, among others, with the long-standing MGG and PRODIGEES partner institute, the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), as well as with the think tanks The Habibie Center and Think Policy.

The visit also provided an opportunity to bring together alumni of the MGG Academy for an exchange on current and future developments in the MGG network.
