Organised by the International Office of the university, this event offered international students valuable insights into the work of IDOS and the Postgraduate Programme for Sustainability Cooperation (PGP). Tanja Vogel, head of IDOS Communications, and Dr Simone Christ, head of the PGP, presented job opportunities at IDOS and gave an overview about its Postgraduate Programme. During the speed interview sessions, they met with motivated and knowledgeable students from the University of Bonn eager to contribute to global development and sustainability.

The Day of Virtual Company Visits provides international students with the opportunity to engage directly with company representatives from the Bonn region. In brief speed interviews, students introduce themselves to selected English-speaking employers and explore potential career paths.

The Department of Geography at the University of Bonn hosts an annual Job and Internship Fair to connect Geography students with potential employers and internship providers. The event allows students to engage in direct conversations with professionals in their field. The PGP team, along with this year’s PGP participants, answered students‘ questions, such as about career opportunities after completing the PGP, the application process, and the content of the programme. Ramona Fröhlich, a Geography alumna of the University of Bonn and current PGP participant, shared insights into her research on Sustainable Island Futures in Indonesia and Germany, which she conducted within the framework of the PGP research team.
