On 21 May 2025, experts, scholars, and policy professionals gathered for a workshop to examine the implications of Donald Trump’s return to the White House. The results will be published in the IDOS Discussion Paper series.
The German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) and the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) jointly convened the workshop. Under the theme “Development and Development Policy in the Trump Era”, it focused on the evolving challenges of global development and international cooperation in a shifting political landscape.
Experts from diverse backgrounds discussed the far-reaching implications of Donald Trump’s return to the White House for global development and international cooperation. The workshop results will be published as an open access volume in the IDOS Discussion Paper series. Co-edited by Stephan Klingebiel and Andy Sumner, the publication will feature concise contributions presented during the workshop, offering timely insights into a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape.
