On 2 April, Prof. Anna-Katharina Hornidge contributed to the launch of the GIZ One Health Implementation Guide for Practitioners. The guide is a practical tool for project planners and managers compiling methods, practices and experiences from One Health interventions across countries. The One Health approach acknowledges human, animal and environmental health as an indivisible public good, protection of which requires transdisciplinary collaboration. In her keynote, Anna-Katharina Hornidge accordingly highlighted the importance of researching, building, and protecting conditions that enable the lifestyles supportive of healthy living on a healthy planet. This requires international cooperation and overcoming structural imbalances in health financing.
