The Austrian platform for Business, Development and Global Responsibility by the independent Austrian development-organisation ICEP hosted the corporAID-Konferenz 2025 to which IDOS director Prof. Anna-Katharina Hornidge contributed with a keynote.
Under the theme “Strong together: Innovative Partnerships for Addressing Global Challenges”, the conference, which took place on 27 March 2025, brought together representatives from business, politics, science, and civil society to discuss framework conditions necessary to effectively integrate private sector resources and sustainable development goals within impactful partnerships.
Prof. Dr Anna-Katharina Hornidge delivered a keynote address on governance and knowledge cooperation in the form of partnerships for sustainable development. She pointed out the necessity to overcome the structural inequality between the well-funded science systems in the Global North studying global challenges and those of the countries most affected by these challenges. In her advocacy for equitable knowledge cooperation, she also underscored the difference private sector investment can make for technology transfer and skills development.
