The number of working caregivers is increasing and this issue is also relevant at IDOS. Therefore, the institute is actively committed to improving the compatibility of work and care. By signing the Charter for the Compatibility of Work and Care of the NRW State Programme, the institute reaffirms its commitment to a caregiving-friendly work environment and commits to supporting caregiving employees through information, counselling, and concrete workplace measures.

Participation in the programme includes the training of a workplace care guide, who will serve as the first point of contact for all employees. This person has access to up-to-date legal information as well as important care and support services. Additionally, employees will benefit from the online seminars of the NRW State Program. The programme also promotes networking exchanges and supports the institute in implementing sustainable solutions.

Offers for networking, support, materials, and online seminars from the state programme can be found in the brochure and newsletter on the NRW State Program website: https://berufundpflege-nrw.de.
