Learning and coming together for the Evaluation by the Johannes Rau Research Foundation

Together with 15 fellow research institutes in North Rhine-Westphalia, IDOS is part of the Johannes Rau Research Foundation (JRF). Every seven years, each institute has the chance to present and advance its own work through an independent evaluation process. As part of the evaluation, IDOS prepared and submitted a report for the commission of evaluators.

Centrepiece of the evaluation was the on-site-visit of the evaluators on 30 and 31 October. During one and a half days, IDOS got the opportunity to present and discuss our research, policy advice, and training activities directed towards a collaborative multipolar world for sustainable futures. This included presentations, a market place, and poster sessions with employees from all levels and across the different departments and service units at the institute. As we eagerly await the recommendations, we can already say for sure that the evaluation presented a great chance for our institute to come together in celebration, reflection, and advancement of our work and we will draw on this very fruitful process and the material created and collected in the years to come.
