Dr Sebastian Haug has been appointed to the Advisory Editorial Board of Third World Quarterly, an academic journal published by Taylor & Francis. In their appointment letter, the editors of the journal note that the 2021 Special Issue on “The ‘Global South’ in world politics” that Haug co-edited “has surpassed all records for citations and downloads”.
The letter from the journal’s editors further reads: “Many colleagues in the Global South community have put forward your name as someone with the enthusiasm and the expertise to assist in creating and consolidating new avenues of North-South scholarship”. Launched in 1978, Third World Quarterly publishes contributions from across the social sciences that address structures and relations of inequality and development. According to Google Scholar, Third World Quarterly is among the top-ten journals in the fields of diplomacy and international relations as well as development economics.
