On 6 September, IDOS and the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen future cooperation.

IDOS welcomed Prof. Abbi M. Kedir, Director of Research at AERC, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of Prof. Victor Murinde, Professor at SOAS University of London and Executive Director of the AERC, alongside IDOS Director Prof. Anna-Katharina Hornidge. The partnership will combine AERC’s economic research expertise with IDOS’s focus on sustainable development and global cooperation. Together, the institutions aim to drive impactful research, innovative solutions and effective training for global challenges and sustainable futures.
IDOS and the AERC are looking forward to the upcoming joint event “Africa in the global economy – Uncertain future in turbulent times” in December 2024.
