Last weekend, 19 and 20 August, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) opened its doors in Berlin. Once again, IDOS was part of it.
With provison of information to public, Dr Emmanuel Theodore Asimeng, researcher in sustainable urban planning, and Wendpanga Eric Segueda, press relations officer, informed visitors about the Institute’s activities in research, policy advice and training. They provided information about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which they explained on the basis of ongoing projects in the field of Just Energy Transition and Social Cohesion.
A special were the interactive opportunities: visitors had to answer questions on Just Transition and the SDGs as part of the playful rally of the BMZ for the Open Day. For children, there were puzzles to solve on the above-mentioned topics.
The three training programmes run by IDOS were also presented: the Postgraduate Training Programme, the Managing Global Governance (Academy) and the African-German Leadership Academy.
On Saturday, the Head of BMZ Division 1, Mr Dirk Meyer, visited the IDOS stand and got to know some ongoing projects.
