The head of the research programme on inter- and transnational cooperation and training, Dr Sven Grimm, has been re-appointed by the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, as Extraordinary Professor of the Department of Political Science.

The appointment was renewed for another three years to 2026. Sven Grimm had served as director of the Centre for Chinese Studies (CCS) in Stellenbosch between 2010 and 2014 and maintained the linkage to the University ever since, currently inter alia through a project cooperation in the EU-funded PRODIGEES project on global exchanges on digitalisation for sustainable development (2020 to 2024).
