The final event of the discussion series „Perspectives on the Future of International Cooperation“ organised by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation at the University of Leipzig discussed various aspects of sustainable development cooperation.

On 24 April Dr Axel Berger joined Heidemarie Wieczorek-Zeul, former Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and Wolfram Stierle, head of the staff unit „Dialogue on Value-Oriented Development Policy“ at the BMZ, to discuss how politics and civil society can contribute to the design of sustainable cooperation formats and, in particular, how they can cooperate with regions characterised by weak statehood beyond the economic level.
