The webinar opened with contributions from Dr Ursula Schröder (Scientific Director of the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy (IFSH) at the University of Hamburg) and Prof. Dr Anna-Katharina Hornidge (Co-Chair of SDSN Germany and Director of the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS)). Moderated by Dr Axel Berger (Executive Director of SDSN Germany), up to 50 interested participants discussed the results of the Munich Security Conference as well as the National Security Strategy and its significance for sustainability policy.

A detailed report on the event can be found here.

In addition, SDSN Germany hosted the first monthly virtual Coffee Talk with interested network members and partners at the beginning of March. The participation format was well-received. The participants were able to get to know each other and exchange information about their current projects in an informal atmosphere. The focus of the event was the presentation of the annual agenda of SDSN Germany by the Secretariat. Together with members and partners, opportunities for cooperation were examined.
