On 29 August 2022, experts from numerous member and partner organisations of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Germany came together virtually to discuss the challenges and opportunities for sustainability policy in times of multiple crises and geopolitical rivalries.
The main objective of the “from the Network for the Network” event was to highlight the opportunities for sustainability policy in eight policy areas – climate and biodiversity protection, agriculture/nutrition, global health, energy supply, sustainable finance, development cooperation and foreign policy aspects of the sustainability agenda – that are directly affected by Russia’s war against Ukraine. During the discussion, it became clear that all eight policy areas are inevitably interrelated.
