SDSN Germany at the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in New York City
From 5 to 15 July 2022, the HLPF took place at the UN Headquarters in New York City. As an official part of the German delegation, SDSN Germany was present for the entire two weeks.
This year, the forum paid a great deal of attention to SDGs 4, 5, 14, 15, and 17. In addition to the official programme, delegates of SDSN Germany attended numerous side events focusing on gender equality, education, biodiversity, financing of the Sustainable Development Goals, sustainable recovery, and international spillover effects.
SDSN Germany aims to continuously focus on and follow the debates at the international level and link them more closely to German and European sustainability policies also after the HLPF 2022. For an assessment of this year’s HLPF, please read the Current Column of 29 August:
