In this context, Dr Wulf Reiners, head of the ‚Managing Global Governance‘ programme (MGG), and co-editor Associate Prof. Dr. Ebru Turhan (TDU) presented their open access book ‚EU-Turkey Relations – Theories, Institutions, and Policies‚ (Palgrave Macmillan). The conference on 26 to 28 May, jointly organised with the University of Cologne, was opened by German Ambassador Jürgen Schulz and included a dialogue with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Faruk Kaymakçı. The discussions made clear that despite numerous tensions and a frozen EU accession process, there is considerable potential for sectoral cooperation, including in the areas of security, migration or the ‚European Green Deal‘.
