This year’s Global Solutions Summit took place in Berlin on 28 and 29 March. As co-chair of the G7 Think Tank Group, DIE participated in shaping the Summit and hosted an event on the future of development cooperation on 29 March. The panel discussion, organised by Prof. Dr. Anna-Katharina Hornidge, Director of the German Development Institute, Dr. Stephan Klingebiel, head of programme at DIE, and Dr. Heiner Janus, researcher at DIE, explored how global crises and power shifts affect international development cooperation. Following a keynote address by Nobel Laureate Michael Kremer, University of Chicago, Anna-Katharina Hornidge (as co-chair of the T7 Task Force Global Health) moderated the panel discussion between Sachin Chaturvedi, Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), Ibrahim Hassane Mayaki, AUDA-NEPAD, Andrea Ordóñez, Southern Voice, and Jürgen Voegele, World Bank. During a virtual meeting on 28 March, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Volz, researcher at DIE and co-chair of the T7 Task Force Sustainable Economic Recovery, presented the main policy recommendations of his task force.
