Dr. Clara Brandi is the new head of the research programme „Transformation of Economic and Social Systems“ at the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) as of 1 December 2020. The position has been vacant for some time. She will lead the programme together with Dr. Tilman Altenburg, who will remain in this position.
Since 2009 she has been working as senior researcher at DIE. During this time, she also conducted research for the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU). She brings a vast expertise in research, policy advice and teaching in the field of global economic governance, as well as in interfaces with sustainable development and climate protection to the position.
