MGG Academy 2022 – Call for applications

DIE has opened the call for applications for the MGG Academy 2022, taking place from 11 August to 7 December 2022 in Bonn, Germany. Applications are possible until 15 March 2022.

The Managing Global Governance (MGG) Academy is a training and dialogue format for young professionals from Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa and Europe. The participants work in their home countries in government institutions, research institutions and think tanks, civil society and the private sector. The overall purpose of the Academy is to support the development of future change makers that are dedicated to address global challenges and contribute to transformative change. It combines academic modules on solutions for pressing global challenges with leadership modules to enhance personal and social competencies and action-oriented project work.

    I am interested in the programs from the MGG Academy. However, I find the geographical coverage small with Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, and Europe as the only eligible participants! Remarkably, South Africa is the only eligible country from the 54 countries that make up the continent of Africa. Under the circumstances, how do I solicit lenience from the organizers of the MGG Academy 2022, given my geographical location (Uganda)?
