The berufundfamilie audit certificate is awarded by the Board of Trustees of the berufundfamilie Service GmbH as a seal of quality for a strategically designed family- and life-phase-conscious human resources policy. The German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) received the award for the first time in 2012.
The prerequisite for the current certification is the successful completion of the re-auditing process, in which the degree of penetration of the existing family- and life-phase-conscious measures already implemented was examined. By means of reviews, it was possible to consider the framework and culture of the compatibility policy, mirror the results to the institute’s management and, in those areas where there was a need for action, develop further concrete solutions by means of targeted deepening.

As part of the re-audit, not only strategic goals but also concrete measures were defined, which are recorded in a new target agreement. They will be implemented as needed during the next three-year certificate period. The practical implementation will be reviewed annually by berufundfamilie Service GmbH.
